Tears of Gaza follows three children through the 2008-2009 bombing of
Gaza, recording their experiences and testimonies. Disturbing, powerful
and emotionally devastating, the film is less a conventional documentary
than a record presented with minimal gloss. Without any narration and
featuring the voices of children, the documentary captures the ability
of children and women to persist in their everyday lives in spite of the
immense trauma of war. Photographed with startling realism by
Palestinian cameramen both before and after the offensive, Tears of Gaza
uncovers the brutal consequences of war on a civilian population.
